The Children’s Village has been addressing the educational and emotional needs of youngsters for over 150 years. Please look at the information listed below and contact us with any additional questions.
Q: I have a client whom I think would be appropriate for The Children’s Village. How do I make a referral to The Children’s Village?
A: We accept youth through a variety of referral sources including Committees on Special Education (CSE), Social Services (ACS or local DSS), Family Court and through the Office of Children and Family Services. If your client is involved with one of these systems, a referral can be made through them.
Q: What type of material is needed for my client to be considered for admission to The Children’s Village?
A: We request all the current (no older than one year) educational materials such as IEP and report card. Additionally, we require psychosocial and psychological assessments. If the youth is currently taking medication, a psychiatric assessment may be required.
