Kirsten Berken

Kirsten Berken brings a fresh new perspective to the Board of Trustees. A graduate of Bucknell University, she worked for Teach for America as a second grade teacher in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. In that program, she organized parent-teacher programs to help open up the communication between parents and administration. Ms. Berken has also volunteered for many educational organizations teaching disadvantaged children. She is the daughter of former Trustee, Mitchell Berken.
