Father Benedict Groeschel

Father Benedict Groeschel received a Masters Degree in Counseling from Iona College, then went on to pursue a Doctorate in Psychology from Columbia University.  From 1960 to 1974 Father Benedict had been Chaplain at the CV campus in Dobbs Ferry.  In 1987 he and 8 Capuchin Friars founded the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, with the consent of Cardinal O’Connor.  He is best known for his writings, lectures, and retreats.  Father Benedict is the author of many books including “The Cross at Ground Zero”, a member of the Board of Directors for Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio; he also has his own television show “Get a Life in Christ” on EWTN in Alabama.
