Lois Bronz
Legislator, District 8, Westchester County

Lois Bronz was elected to the Board of Directors in 1985.  She holds a M.Ed. from Wayne State University and a B.A. from Xavier University in New Orleans.  Ms. Bronz is a Westchester County Legislator for the 8th District.  Her election to serve as Chair of the Board for the 2002-2004 term was historically significant because she was the first woman and the first person of African descent to lead the Board of Legislators.  The Lois Bronz Children’s Center (formerly Union Child Day Care Center) in Greenburgh was renamed in her honor in September 2006.
