Some of the children in foster care have special needs and are put into our Therapeutic Foster Care Program. Many of these children have a history of rejection, abandonment, and abuse and have a special need for love, stability, and a structured environment. Therapeutic foster parents are truly foster parents plus. Without a therapeutic foster parent, these children would not have the opportunity to live in a family.

Therapeutic foster parents receive additional training and support and act as part of the professional team that cares for these special children. You will be a teaching parent, helping your child learn new ways to cope with sadness, anger and disappointment.
